GATES OF FREEDOM PRIVACY NOTICE

Gates of Freedom is operated by Carl Self. This notice explains how information is handled when you request a free recovery resource, join the Gates of Freedom email list, contact Gates of Freedom, or voluntarily communicate through WhatsApp.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with Gates of Freedom, we may collect:
• Your first name.
• Your email address.
• Information you voluntarily include in an email, form, reply, or message.
• Your signup source, subscription status, consent record, unsubscribe request, and email engagement information recorded by our email provider.
• Technical information recorded by our website, landing-page provider, email platform, file-delivery provider, or security tools. This may include IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location, timestamps, page visits, email opens, and link activity.
• Your WhatsApp account information and messages if you voluntarily contact or join Gates of Freedom through WhatsApp.
Do not submit another person’s private medical, recovery, legal, family, financial, or contact information unless you have their permission or another lawful reason to do so.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to:
• Deliver the requested free resources.
• Send the approved 11-message recovery follow-up series over approximately 30 days.
• Respond to questions and replies.
• Manage subscriptions, consent, and unsubscribe requests.
• Operate and secure our website, forms, landing pages, email tools, and file delivery.
• Review basic delivery and engagement information.
• Maintain records reasonably needed to operate Gates of Freedom.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
We do not treat free-resource signup as automatic permission for customized or targeted advertising.
3. EMAIL DELIVERY AND FOLLOW-UP
When you request the free resource and provide permission, you may receive:
• The delivery email containing the requested resources.
• An 11-message practical recovery follow-up series delivered over approximately 30 days.
• Responses to messages you send to Gates of Freedom.
Every marketing or follow-up email will include an unsubscribe option. You may unsubscribe at any time.
4. SERVICE PROVIDERS
Gates of Freedom currently uses outside services that may process limited information needed to provide their services:
• Sender for the landing page, signup form, subscriber group, email delivery, automation, and basic engagement records.
• Google Drive for delivery of the free resource files.
• GoDaddy Websites + Marketing for the Gates of Freedom website, Privacy Policy page, and contact page.
• Google reCAPTCHA or related security tools when enabled to reduce spam and automated form abuse.
• WhatsApp and Meta only when a person voluntarily chooses to use those services to communicate with or join Gates of Freedom.
Each provider applies its own privacy terms and security practices.
5. WHATSAPP
WhatsApp participation is optional. Email signup does not automatically add anyone to WhatsApp.
Information posted in a WhatsApp group may be visible to other group members according to the current group settings.
Do not post confidential records, identification documents, account credentials, financial information, or another person’s private information.
WhatsApp is not emergency care, private clinical treatment, guaranteed-response support, or twenty-four-seven service.
6. COOKIES, TECHNICAL DATA, AND ANALYTICS
Our website, landing-page provider, email provider, and security providers may use cookies, technical logs, and similar tools to operate and secure their services, remember settings, measure page and email activity, and prevent spam or abuse.
Gates of Freedom does not currently use the free-resource signup as automatic consent for targeted advertising.
7. RETENTION
Subscriber information may be retained while you remain subscribed and while it is reasonably needed to deliver resources, operate the approved follow-up series, respond to requests, maintain security, and meet recordkeeping obligations.
After you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record, such as your email address and unsubscribe status, so that we do not accidentally send further marketing messages.
Other personal information that is no longer reasonably needed will normally be deleted or anonymized within 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless it must be retained longer for security, legal, dispute-resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping reasons.
8. SECURITY
Gates of Freedom uses reasonable account, password, access, and service-provider controls.
No website, email service, cloud-storage provider, or internet transmission can guarantee complete security.
Do not use the landing-page form, ordinary email, or WhatsApp to send highly confidential medical, legal, financial, or identity records.
9. YOUR CHOICES
You may:
• Unsubscribe from follow-up emails.
• Ask what personal information Gates of Freedom holds about you.
• Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
• Ask for information to be deleted when deletion is reasonably available and not prevented by a valid recordkeeping need.
• Withdraw future email permission.
• Stop using WhatsApp or leave a WhatsApp group.

10. AGE SCOPE AND INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE
The free resources, landing page, and email follow-up are intended for adults age 18 and older.
Do not submit a child’s information or another person’s information without proper permission.
11. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Carl Self operates Gates of Freedom from Thailand and serves a primarily United States-facing and international audience.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
